Raiders Head Coach John Mamerow

Offensive Line

Mamerow enters his rookie campaign as head coach of the Racine Raiders in 2008. Most recently, John served as the Offensive Line Coach and Assistant Offensive Coordinator for the Burlington Blue Devils of the Ironman Football League (IFL). He has also coached youth football and spent time at Waterford High School.

Mamerow was an accomplished player, receiving All-WIAC second team honors while playing center at UW-Platteville in 1985-86 and 1986-87. He joined the Raiders in 1987 and received Rookie of the Year honors. He was named all-league six times in his seven years in Racine and was the starting right guard on three National Championship teams.

Racine Raiders Offensive Coordinator Jack Takerian

Running Backs

Jack begins his 12th season with Raiders in 2008. He served as the Running Backs Coach under Head Coach Jordan Kopac in 2007.

Takerian always received a solid level of production from his running backs corps. He will expect the same production from his entire offense in 2008.

Jack and Melanie, his wife of 12 years, are proud parents of seven-year-old quadruplets; Emily, Taylor, Payton, and Jack, and live in Franklin, Wisconsin.

The Takerians are involved with the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund, where Jack has worked as volunteer for the past 19 years.

Defensive Coordinator Chris Pivovar

Defensive Coordinator

Chris Pivovar is a 2004 inductee into the Raiders Hall of Fame and a 2007 inductee into the American Football Association Hall of Fame.

Chris has been a part of the Raiders as either a player or coach since 1972, taking only 2004 off. He was once a ferocious linebacker and now enters his fourth year as defensive coordinator.

Special Teams Coordinator Ray Parent

Special Teams

Ray played offensive line at the University of South Carolina and, in 2002, for the Raiders. He was head coach and athletic director at Ridge-Spring Monetta High School in the Carolinas.

Ray begins his second year as the special teams coordinator.

Defensive Line Coach Phil Micech

Phil Micech
Defensive Line

Phil is in his 23rd year with the Raiders.  He is in every minor league football hall of fame imaginable and nobody will ever again wear number 83 for the Racine Raiders.

Phil enjoyed a short stint with the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL in the 1980's.

Defensive Backs Coach Pedro Trevino

Pedro Trevino
Defensive Backs

Pedro first coached the Raiders during former head coach Jordan Kopac's first stint as coach in 2001, helping lead the team to a 14-3 record and their seventh National Championship.

He again coached the Raiders beginning with Kopac's return in 2005 and now returns for his fifth year, this time working with head coach John Mamerow
