John Mamerow
Head Coach
Mamerow enters his sophomore season as head
coach of the Racine Raiders in 2009. Most recently, John served
as the Offensive Line Coach and Assistant Offensive Coordinator
for the Burlington Blue Devils of the Ironman Football League
(IFL). He has also coached youth football and spent time at
Waterford High School.
Mamerow was an accomplished player, receiving
All-WIAC second team honors while playing center at UW-Platteville
in 1985-86 and 1986-87. He joined the Raiders in 1987 and
received Rookie of the Year honors. He was named all-league
six times in his seven years in Racine and was the starting
right guard on three National Championship teams. |

Matt Kallin
Offensive Line
Matt enters his second year as an offensive line coach for the Raiders. He previously served as a player/coach in 2006.
Matt played for the Raiders from 1996 through 2008. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1996 andOffensive Most Valuable Player in 2006. He has played in four National Championship games. Matt was named All-Conference six times and an All-American four times during his Raiders career.
"Big Skinny," as he is affectionately called, was a seven-time honors student at Carthage College, four-year letter winner, and an All-American offensive lineman his senior season. Matt started every game for the Redmen and played in the All-American Bowl in 1996.
Matt has also coached the offensive line and served as the Junior Varsity Coach at Bay View High School. In 2007, Kallin coached the offensive line for the Burlington Blue Devils of the Ironman Football League (IFL). In addition, Matt was head coach of the Waukesha Devils of the IFL for three seasons and was named Coach of the Year in 2002.

Matt Nelson Receivers
Matt spent ten years as a tight end for the Raiders and says his favorite memory is winning the 1995 National Championship by beating the Marlboro (Mass) Shamrocks in Marlboro.
Matt graduated from Carthage College with degrees in both business administration and marketing. While at Carthage, he played tight end.
Matt received a Raider Alumni Achievement Award and the Bob Milkie Award in 1993. He was also named offensive captain in 1998.
Matt enters his third season as a coach for the Raiders, his second on John Mamerow's staff. He previously served as the Tight End and Receivers Coach under former head coach Gregg Brenner in 2004. |

Phil Micech Defensive Line
Phil is in his 24th year with the Raiders.
He is in every minor league football
hall of fame imaginable and nobody will
ever again wear number 83 for the Racine
Raiders.
A native of Milwaukee, Phil graduated from UW-Platteville with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. While at Platteville, he played offensive and defensive tackle, defensive end, tight end, and offensive guard, earning All-Conference and All-District honors along the way.

Pedro Trevino Defensive Backs
Pedro first coached the Raiders during
former head coach Jordan Kopac's first stint
as coach in 2001, helping lead the team
to a 14-3 record and their seventh National
Championship.
He again coached the Raiders beginning with Kopac's return in 2005 and now returns for his sixth year, this time working with head coach John Mamerow.
Pedro is a 1973 graduate of Racine Horlick High School and currently works as an electrician at S.C. Johnson Wax. He and his wife of 34 years, Anita, live in Racine and have three children: Pedro, Jr., 30; Tanya, 28; and Gina, 24. Pedro enjoys playing volleyball in his spare time. |
